They also ensure that their department is optimally stocked and merchandised and that customer service is always the #1 focus. Department Heads contribute to the growth and development of their assigned department and training of other store associates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Promote customer service as the #1 priorityAccountable for assigned departmental integrity and continuous utilization of personnelEnsure department is front, faced and product pulled down from top stockEnsure department floors, shelves and overstocks are labeled, clean and safeAssist in planning for sales and major holiday or promotional events (i.e. Fathers Day, Mothers Day etc.)Assist in training and developing store staff with goals for growth and success in their departmentsDrive customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer needs are met, and concerns are resolved quicklyBENEFITS:Employee DiscountMedical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time OffREQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to provide motivation and leadership to associates storewide in a fair and impartial mannerAbility to stand for an extended period of timeAble to walk, reach, and bend to perform job dutiesMove and handle merchandise and fixtures up to 40 pounds
