Job description
This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, for example, when running the restaurant. However, this franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If you are hired for the job described in this posting, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. Only the franchisee is responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervisions, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant. McDonald’s USA will not receive a copy of your employment application and it will have no involvement in any employment decisions, including whether you receive an interview for the job or whether you are hired.
Responsibilities
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. Some managers also lead Departments and may manage assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks, following up, and reporting results. The Guest Service Department Manager ensures Crew and Managers deliver exceptional customer service, that sales promotions are executed properly, all service staff are trained in procedures, and the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service. The Kitchen Department Manager ensures the restaurant delivers high‑quality food quickly, maintains safety standards, controls food cost, and trains all kitchen staff on production procedures, including new menu items. The People Department Manager hires qualified crew, trains and schedules staff to meet sales and profit goals, ensures new hires start positively, and recognizes and motivates team members.
Qualifications
Preferred previous managerial experience, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with a flexible schedule and a passion for working in a fast‑paced environment. Must be 18 years or older to serve as a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
