Job description
The New York State Department of Financial Services seeks a Deputy Superintendent for Insurance Data to lead data standardization, governance, and modernization initiatives across the Insurance Division. The role involves developing data strategies, managing data quality processes, overseeing public reporting, building and supervising a team of data specialists, and collaborating with enterprise data governance units to establish trusted datasets and data governance frameworks.
Key qualifications:
14 years of specialized work experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Stewardship, or Data Analytics
5 years of managerial experience with demonstrated ability to supervise large teams
Experience with data ETL processes and Snowflake or similar data platforms
Proven track record in developing data quality frameworks and governance processes
Leadership experience driving enterprise-wide data modernization and adoption initiatives
