Our client is seeking a Design Assistant to support their design team with trend forecasting, mood boards, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
Trend Analysis & Forecasting:
Monitor global trends across runways, trade shows, social media, and influencers.
Research consumer behavior, cultural shifts, and market trends.
Create trend reports and mood boards.
Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create engaging presentations and mood boards.
Trend Shopping:
Conduct local trend-shopping trips to gather insights from retail markets, cultural hubs, and emerging street styles.
Translate findings into actionable recommendations for product development.
Help with expenses and organization of shopping.
Attend fabric and print shows to source materials and gather inspiration.
Market & Competitor Research:
Analyze competitor strategies and product launches.
Collaborate with teams to position products relative to industry trends.
Recommend colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and design elements for collections with a focus on childrenswear.
Work with design and marketing teams to align collections with trends.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Marketing, or a related field.
1-3 years in trend forecasting or analysis, childrenswear expertise is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (a must).
Strong visual storytelling and presentation skills.
Knowledge of WGSN or similar trend tools preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
