Design-Build General Contractor

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Design-Build General Contractor to support and deliver complex projects across aviation, building, power, and infrastructure markets in the FL area.
This role is responsible for leading integrated project delivery efforts from preconstruction through execution, ensuring alignment between design and construction teams while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong design-build experience, preferably within the aviation sector, along with a deep understanding of construction management, contractor coordination, and regulatory compliance. This individual will play a key leadership role in driving project success and client satisfaction. This position is a part-time role with an estimated 10 - 25 hours per week.

What We're Looking For
We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:
Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC) license (required)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and/or engineering project delivery
Demonstrated experience managing design-build projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, and contract administration
Preferred Qualifications
North Carolina Contractor license (preferred, in addition to FL)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in aviation projects (airports, runways, terminals, support facilities)
Background spanning both design and construction environments
Experience within an engineering consulting or design-build firm
Key Skills & Competencies
Leadership and team management
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
Financial and schedule management
Productive ability and experience utilizing construction scheduling and document sharing software (Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.)
Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM)
Knowledge of permitting, codes, and regulatory requirements (particularly in Florida and the Southeast)
The hourly rate for this position is between $40.00 and $60.00 per hour based on experience, education, and/or certifications.
