Job Title: Senior Product Designer, Mobile Design Systems (Contract)
nOverview
nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer with deep expertise in mobile design systems to help drive the consistency, scalability, and quality of user experiences across multiple consumer mobile products. This role is ideal for a designer who combines exceptional visual craft with strong systems thinking and enjoys partnering closely with product and engineering teams to build and evolve design systems that enable teams to move faster while maintaining a high-quality user experience.

n nKey Responsibilities
nnnDesign, evolve, and maintain reusable design system components, patterns, and interaction models for mobile experiences.
n
nnManage and maintain Figma libraries, design documentation, and source-of-truth assets.
n
nnPartner with product teams to create new components and refine existing system patterns based on emerging product requirements.
n
nnProvide design system support through office hours, design critiques, documentation, and consultation.
n
nnPromote adoption and adherence to design standards and best practices across multiple product teams.
n
nnCollaborate closely with engineers to ensure design system components are accurately implemented in production.
n
nnContribute lightweight code updates when appropriate to maintain alignment between design and implementation.
n
nnIdentify opportunities to improve system quality, usability, scalability, consistency, and accessibility.
n
nnDrive continuous improvement of design workflows, governance, and documentation processes.
n
n nRequired Qualifications
nnn5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production design systems for mobile products at scale.
n
nnAdvanced expertise in Figma, including component architecture, variants, auto layout, variables, design tokens, and library management.
n
nnProven experience creating reusable UI components, interaction patterns, and scalable documentation.
n
nnStrong visual design skills with exceptional attention to detail across typography, spacing, accessibility, consistency, and overall user experience quality.
n
nnExperience partnering closely with software engineers to bring design systems into production environments.
n
nnExperience managing design systems that support multiple products, brands, or user experiences while balancing consistency and flexibility.
n
nnExcellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of presenting system changes, documenting decisions, and driving adoption across cross-functional teams.
n
nnExperience designing consumer-facing mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnnExperience working with design tokens and code-backed design systems.
n
nnFamiliarity with React Native and/or native iOS and Android component architectures.
n
nnExperience using Git and GitHub and contributing minor code updates.
n
nnExperience facilitating design system governance, office hours, design reviews, or adoption programs.
n
nnExperience supporting large organizations with multiple teams leveraging a shared design system.
n
nnAbility to work independently, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and drive solutions with limited direction.

nPay and Benefits
nThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
