nDesigner Staff (Modeler) works as part of a team responsible for developing a comprehensive, functionally, and dimensionally accurate physical layout of electrical, communications, and other systems based on the engineering design, specifications, and materials and equipment submittals to meet the project needs and M.C. Dean's constructability objectives.
nResponsibilities
nnnReview and analysis of electrical drawings, specifications and submittals;
n
nn3D modeling of pathway and circuiting layout consistent with the electrical design based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and field installation leads.
n
nnEquipment layout adjustments based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and according to the engineering design.
n
nnParticipation in the design coordination process and resolving coordination conflicts.
n
nnProduction of coordination / shop drawings, installation details,
n
nnProduction of sketches to support field installation tasks.
n
n nQualifications
nEducation Requirements:
nnn8+ years of commercial electrical field experience or at least 8 years of commercial electrical field experience and 8 years of experience as a Designer using AutoCAD or Micro station with a high school diploma or GED
n
nn4+ years of experience with an associate degree
n
nn2+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree
n
n nClearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship for access to classified information.

n nCertifications:
nnCompleted electrical apprenticeship and journeyman or master electrician status strongly desired

nnnExposure to computer screens for an extended period.

nnSitting for extended periods of time.

nnReach by extending hands or arms in any direction.

nnHave finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
