Job description
Position Summary
nSupports construction projects through the creation, coordination, and management of shop drawings, BIM modeling, and MEP systems. Collaborates across teams, contributes to project efficiency and accuracy.
nPosition Details
nnnProvides basic support on construction projects including receiving, logging, tracking, expediting and distribution of shop drawings, and other construction project documentation.
n
nnCreates basic shop drawings.
n
nnMaintains a protocol of documents in such a way that information can be retrieved and understood by others.
n
nnAchieves reduced time/costs related to potential errors of clash detection.
n
nnProvides MEP coordination.
n
nnProvides basic 3D modeling using BIM.
n
nnAttends and participates in construction and other meetings as required.
n
nnCollaborates with design and build team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws.
n
n nQualifications
nnnHigh School or GED and 0-2 years of detailing experience or currently enrolled in trade apprenticeship program
n
nnBasic verbal and written communication skills.
n
nnAbility to write, edit and proofread content.
n
nnBasic understanding of craft
n
nnAbility to read and interpret basic construction documents
n
nnCurrent knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, Sheet Metal trades and field installation methods
n
nnAttention to detail
n
nnBasic knowledge of applicable AEC, BIM, CAD software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD)
