Job description
Position Summary
nProvides support on construction projects including receiving, logging, tracking, expediting and distribution of shop drawings, RFI’s and other construction project documentation.
nPosition Details
nnnCreates shop drawings for major mechanical systems in major construction projects
n
nnEquipment room layout and detail drawings
n
nnMaintains a protocol of documents in such a way that information can be retrieved and understood by others
n
nnAchieves reduced time/costs related to potential errors of clash detection
n
nnProvides MEP coordination
n
nnProvides 3D modeling using BIM
n
nnAttends and participates in construction and other meetings as required.
n
nnCollaborates with design and build team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws
n
nnServes as mentor to less experienced Detailers
n
n nQualifications
nnnHigh School or G.E.D. required
n
nnCompleted a trade apprentice program or equivalent
n
nnMinimum 5 years’ relevant trade and/or detailing experience
n
nnJourneyman /Foreman
n
nnGood verbal and written communication skills.
n
nnAbility to write, edit and proofread content.
n
nnGood understanding of craft
n
nnAbility to read and interpret basic construction documents
n
nnCurrent knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, Sheet Metal trades and field installation methods
n
nnAttention to detail
n
nnAbility to coordinate projects
n
nnAbility to train less experienced Detailers
n
nnNavisworks, Revit, AutoCAD experience
n
