Job description
A nationally recognized academic medical organization in the Bronx, New York, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist to join its Emergency Radiology division as an academic faculty member.
The Emergency Radiology team includes six radiologists and provides comprehensive imaging services in a high-acuity academic environment. This opportunity offers a structured schedule, competitive compensation, academic appointment, and comprehensive benefits.
Schedule
Approximately 122 shifts per year
One week on followed by two weeks off
Overnight coverage with two radiologists on duty
10-hour shifts, including weekdays and weekends
Collaboration with a night-float resident
24/7 CT, ultrasound, and MRI technologist support
Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Part-time option of approximately 61 shifts per year
Clinical Responsibilities
The selected physician will interpret a broad range of emergency imaging studies, including:
CT, including body and neuroimaging
Ultrasound
Radiographs
Emergency imaging across a broad range of clinical presentations
Neuro MRI, with experience considered a plus
No procedural responsibilities are required. Nuclear medicine and mammography interpretation are not required for this position.
Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
Eligible for medical licensure in New York
Fellowship training preferred in Emergency Radiology, Neuroradiology, or Body Radiology
Strong emergency imaging skills and clinical judgment
Ability to work effectively in an academic and multidisciplinary environment
