Job description
Role:
Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic, therapeutic, and research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
Key Duties:
Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
Verify data storage, assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, and document activities related to radiation exposure and medications.
Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist licensed practitioners in various radiologic procedures across different settings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; applicants hired after a specific date must complete steps for level 2 advancement within 24 months.
Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures independently or assist licensed practitioners.
Work Environment & Expectations:
Primarily in clinical settings, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills may be required.
