Job description
Die Corrector – Large Tonnage Presses
Responsibilities:
Correction and maintenance of extrusion tools, ensuring quality extrusion at the correct speeds.
Monitoring press production to identify flow inconsistencies and die performance in order to diagnose potential corrections in dies ranging from 246 to 596 mm in diameter on a 3,500-ton press, as well as on dies for 1,600- and 2,000-ton presses.
Evaluation of profile proposals.
Analysis of samples during the testing phase of new dies to determine dimensions and necessary corrections.
Die cleaning using caustic soda, polishing, etc., as well as checking for cracks or excessive wear.
Reading technical drawings and using precision measurement instruments.
Qualifications
Candidates with proven previous experience in the aluminum extrusion sector and availability to join our plant in Tifton.
Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Knowledge of English is not required.
