You will be working as an experienced Die Setter in the set-up and operations of the power press to manufacture metal products by performing the following responsibilities:Maintains production tooling, as well as the pulling and setting up of jobs in production presses.Completes set-up responsibility (i.e., new die set-up information).Responsible for pre-staging of all set-ups (tools, dies, chutes, clamping required, transfer fingers, grippers, Julian dates).Load coils onto the mandrel and feed through the straightener and into the die.Assist team members when coils need re-banding and taken off press.Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments.Initiate and sustain 5S opportunities.Supply tool room with necessary dies.Organize die and coil storage area.Responsible for additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the supervisor.Job Competencies Needed:To perform this position as a die setter successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ACEMCO operates on the principle of effective teamwork.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Related Die Setter experience in a stamping facility.Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Other Qualifications:Able to lift to 50 lbs.Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.Eighteen (18) years of age or older.Proficient with some toolroom equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.)Able to read and understand blueprints and use all quality measurement tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical comparator, etc.) with proficiency.Work Environment – What is it like?
