nLonergan’s Charter Service, Inc. is looking for an experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. We’re a family-owned company that has been serving Maryland since 1959, and we take pride in maintaining one of the area’s premier commercial bus fleets.
nIf you’re a skilled diesel technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, performing quality repairs, and working in a clean, well-equipped shop, we’d like to meet you.
nResponsibilities
nnDiagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel buses and commercial vehicles.
nPerform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections.
nTroubleshoot engine, electrical, air brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, and drivetrain systems.
nComplete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
nWork with the maintenance team to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready.
n nQualifications
nnExperience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty fleet technician.
nStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
nExperience working on heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
nValid driver’s license required.
nCDL is but not required.
nMust provide your own industry-appropriate tools.
nStrong work ethic with attention to detail.
nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.

Lonergan Sr., and in 2005, after decades of dedicated leadership, he retired and passed the torch to his son, Greg Lonergan, who had been with the company since 1996 and now serves as President.
