We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on diesel engines and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.
Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, fuel systems, tires and other components.
Conduct inspections to identify equipment deficiencies and recommend repairs.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when necessary.
Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Diesel Mechanic (ASE, OEM, or equivalent certification preferred).
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of diesel repair and maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diagnostics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
Valid driver‘s license required; CDL preferred.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying environmental conditions.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certification.
Experience working with commercial fleets and heavy equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Familiarity with fleet maintenance management systems.
