nnCertification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700

nnQuarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year

nnSchedule: Monday–Friday Weekends OFF

nnHours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

nRequirements
nnnHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred
n
nnVocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
n
nnBasic tools, required
n
nnDemonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
n
nnRoutine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work, required
n
nnTwo (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred
n
nnValid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A,preferred
n
nnThis position requires for you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must:
n
nnMust be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
n
nnPass a Ryder Drug Test
n
nnPass a DOT physical
n
nnPass a Ryder road test
n
nnPass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
n
n nImportant Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
nResponsibilities
nnnPerforms vehicle maintenance and repair duties
n
nnPerforms standard vehicle maintenance
n
nnPerforms standard component inspections and repairs
n
nnPerforms preventive maintenance
n
nnDiagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
n
nnIdentifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
n
nnReplaces defective components as instructed
n
nnPerforms facility maintenance duties
n
nnInteracts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
n
nnUtilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
n
nnWorks in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
n
nnPerforms other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to Service Island support
n
