If you're passionate about diesel equipment, enjoy solving mechanical challenges, and want to gain real-world experience while earning your education, a Diesel Technician Program is the perfect place to start. This program combines classroom instruction at a participating college with paid internships at your sponsoring Sloan Implement dealership. You'll learn from experienced technicians, develop hands-on diagnostic and repair skills, and work with the equipment and technology that keep agriculture, construction, and heavy equipment operations moving.
What You'll Do:
Learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment through a combination of classroom instruction and paid internships.
Develop technical skills while working alongside experienced dealership technicians.
Apply classroom knowledge in a real-world service environment.
Attend and actively participate in all required college courses throughout the program.
Complete required internship hours while maintaining dependable attendance and professionalism.
Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a driving record that meets company Motor Vehicle Records requirements throughout employment.
What You'll Bring: Enrollment in a Diesel Technician program at a local college.
A strong interest in diesel technology, heavy equipment, and hands-on problem-solving.
A willingness to learn, work hard, and grow alongside experienced technicians.
Commitment to successfully completing both classroom and internship requirements.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment.
Must pass a DOT physical and renew certification annually as a condition of continued employment.

Pay Information:
The starting hourly pay range for this position is $18 to $18.
