Job description
Dietary CookWe are seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team in Bowling Green, Missouri. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our long-term care facility residents. Your main goal will be to ensure that our residents receive high-quality and nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. You will work closely with our Dietitian to ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with diet therapy guidelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.Minimum Qualifications:Experience working in a commercial kitchenKnowledge of quantity and quality cooking techniquesAbility to read, write, and understand instructionsFlexible schedule to accommodate meal preparation and service timesPreferred Qualifications:Certification in food safety and sanitationExperience working in a long-term care facilityExperience with therapeutic dietsResponsibilities:Prepare and cook meals for long-term care facility residentsEnsure that all meals meet dietary needs and diet therapy guidelinesMaintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environmentCollaborate with Dietitian to plan menus and ensure that meals are nutritionally balancedAdhere to all food safety and sanitation regulationsAs a Dietary Cook, you will use your skills in sanitation, quantity and quality cooking, and diet therapy to prepare and cook meals that meet the dietary needs of our long-term care facility residents. You will work as part of a team to ensure that all meals are prepared and served on time. Additionally, you will seek out new methods and principles to improve the quality of our meals and ensure that our residents are satisfied with their dining experience.
