Job description
CareCore at Willowood is seeking an experienced and dependable Dietary Director to lead our dietary department. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about providing quality food service and creating a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the dietary department
Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff
Ensure meals are prepared and served according to resident needs and dietary requirements
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility food service regulations
Monitor food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and department expenses
Collaborate with Nursing and other departments regarding resident dietary needs
Maintain accurate dietary records and documentation
Prepare the department for surveys and ensure continued regulatory compliance
Requirements
Previous dietary management or supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
Ability to effectively manage and develop a dietary team
Experience with healthcare food service is strongly preferred
