Job description

About Huckleberry

At Huckleberry, our purpose is simple yet powerful: to build life-changing products and experiences that help all families unlock everyday magic.

Today, more than 5 million families trust Huckleberry and our app to be their partner through parenthood. Real pediatric expertise works hand-in-hand with data science, AI, and behavioral science to provide support behind-the-scenes that guides every parent through their unique journey.

We believe every family should feel taken care of—which is why we’re growing quickly and expanding our product offerings to help every family thrive.

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a pediatric specialty, on an open-ended, part-time contract basis, averaging up to 15 hours per month

In this role, you will provide expert nutrition guidance on our solid foods content, covering children from 6 months through 5 years of age. As a pediatric nutrition expert, you’ll collaborate closely with writers and internal teams to review content for medical accuracy, ensure our guidance aligns with current evidence-based feeding and nutrition standards, and consult with our product team on features related to starting solids, toddler nutrition, and pre-school feeding. Your expertise will help translate complex nutrition topics into clear, practical guidance for a wide range of feeding journeys, while your attention to detail will uphold our commitment to trust, integrity, and evidence-based care.

Our core value at Huckleberry is trust and integrity, rooted in science. Our content is written by pediatric experts, including sleep consultants, IBCLC lactation consultants, registered dietitians, child psychologists, and more. It is peer-reviewed by fellow professionals in the related topic of interest.

Join us in empowering families with the highest-quality, science-backed resources!

Areas of responsibility

Review content for accuracy, including articles, in-app short-form guidance, and images related to starting solids, toddler nutrition, and pre-school feeding for children 6 months to 5 years of age.

Audit and fact-check evidence-based guidance to ensure alignment with current pediatric nutrition guidelines and peer-reviewed research.

Consult with the product team on features and product areas related to solid foods, providing expert input as new tools and offerings are developed.

Participate in casual Q&As with writers to support content development and answer nutrition-related questions as they arise.

Collaborate with content leads and relevant experts to recommend and implement updates or revisions as solid foods and pediatric nutrition guidance evolves.

Maintain flexibility and responsiveness for on-demand content reviews, clarifications, and expert feedback, especially during our upcoming solid foods launch.

Participate in discussions with the team via video calls to share expertise and ensure all solid foods content meets the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and trust.

Requirements

Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a pediatric specialty.

Background: Significant experience with starting solids and infant feeding, as well as toddler and pre-school-age nutrition (ages 6 months–5 years).

Knowledge: Up to date on current pediatric nutrition and feeding guidelines (e.g., AAP, WHO).

Skills: Strong fact-checking and research skills, with the ability to translate complex nutrition information into clear, accessible guidance for a general audience.

Nice to have

IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) certification is a strong plus.

Experience supporting diverse populations and family structures.

Compensation

Rate: $50 per hour
