Job description

Shift and StatusCasual, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Variable weekends.Job SummaryAssist the dietitian in the planning and implementation of the nutrition care plan, including patient visitation to assist with menu selection, obtain nutrition histories, provide basic diet information and modify tray service as needed. Provide excellent customer service as it relates to Corewell Health standards.Essential FunctionsPatient visitation for assisting with menu selection, providing basic diet guidelines and obtaining diet history.Act as liaison with patient, dietitians and food service regarding patient needs and meal service related concerns.Provide follow up to determine if patients are tolerating diets and special needs are being met, making referrals to dietitians as needed. Checking and updating computer files to ensure accuracy and consistency.Utilize computer system to communicate with food service and maintain accurate records.Assist in modifying procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.Provide excellent customer service as it relates to Corewell Health.Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequiredMust be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.PreferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent1 year of relevant experience with food service or related.About Corewell HealthAs a team member at Corewell Health, you will play an essential role in delivering personalized health care to our patients, members, and our communities.
