Job description
Registered Dietitian needed to deliver comprehensive nutrition assessments and individualized care plans in an acute care hospital near Monterey, CA. The role supports interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education to improve health outcomes. Candidates must hold an RD credential and a bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and individualized care plans for patients.
Evaluate patients' nutritional status and develop appropriate dietary recommendations.
Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and timely.
Support quality patient care while following applicable clinical, regulatory, and dietary standards.
Maintain current knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, and evidence-based clinical practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required.
Registered Dietitian (RD) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registry eligible.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred.
ServSafe Certification through an accredited American National Standards Institute program preferred.
3 years of clinical dietetics experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
Computer experience preferred.
Spanish-speaking skills preferred.
You hold an RD credential and a nutrition bachelor's degree. You have at least three years acute-care dietetics experience. You can collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients
