Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian III (RD III) - Pediatric & Neonatal Nutrition Specialist to join our multidisciplinary clinical nutrition team. This advanced practice role provides comprehensive medical nutrition therapy for neonatal, pediatric, and high-risk patients while serving as a clinical resource for the healthcare team.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled clinician with extensive experience in neonatal and pediatric nutrition, including neonatal and pediatric critical care.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for medically complex infants and children.
• Manage nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, in collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding nutrition care plans and specialized nutrition therapies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and evidence-based practice projects.
Minimum Qualifications
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field.
• Licensed Dietitian by the State of Florida
• One year experience as a Registered Dietitian
Preferred Qualifications
• Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP) through the CDR; OR
• Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) through ASPEN/NBNSC.
• Experience with neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and pediatric nutrition support.
• Experience with human milk fortification, neonatal growth management, enteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition, and pediatric malnutrition assessment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
