n nBecome the Dietitian you always wanted to be
nn Communicate with and counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
n Communicate with physicians and other involved disciplines in patient care.
n Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
n Document pertinent information in the patient's medical record according to established standards.
n Implement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
n Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
n Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy.
n nQualifications
nn Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
n State licensure required.
n Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
n Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
n One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
