Job description
Act as nutritional consultant and resource to members of the health care team. Provides comprehensive nutritional care including assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, implementation of a care plan, counseling, education, and evaluation of outcomes to patients, families, and associates. Coordinates various education programs and seminars on nutritional topics.
nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
n$5,000 Sign on Bonus included
nnnBachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND- accredited DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) required IF:
n
nnRegistered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential was obtained prior to January 1, 2024, AND Credential is active and issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
n
nnMaster’s Degree required with Bachelor’s in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited DPD (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and supervised practice program (dietetic internship) IF:
n
nnInitial registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is effective on or after January 1, 2024.
n
nnAdvanced Practice Certification preferred.
n
nnRequires the ability to read, write and speak English; use and understand medical terminology.
n
nnFollow oral and written instructions; perform arithmetic calculations.
n
nnStrong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
n
nnRequires a relatively high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with medical, nursing and other health care professionals, patients, and their families.
n
n n1-year clinical experience as a RD in a healthcare setting preferred.
nCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
nRegistered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).

nnResponsibilities include comprehensive care for a wide variety of medical and surgical patients, and enteral and parenteral nutrition management.
