Further is seeking a Digital Account Director to craft digital fundraising strategy, lead media planning, and manage client relationships across a portfolio of nonprofits. This is a senior-level role for an experienced digital media professional who brings deep expertise in media buying, campaign strategy, optimization, and performance analysis across a wide range of platforms.
We’re seeking a digital marketer with at least 6+ years of related experience and a track record of professional growth. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, strategic thinker who is comfortable translating complex data into clear recommendations for clients. Experience with both direct response marketing and digital brand marketing and engagement strategies is preferred.
This is a hybrid position, with preference given to candidates who are local to the Annapolis, MD area and able to work from our office two days per week.

What You’ll Do:
In this position, the Digital Account Director will be responsible for the following duties, among others:
Serve as the primary strategic and day‑to‑day client contact for up to five accounts.
Organize and lead client teams of 4-5 people to ensure client success
Lead the development of comprehensive strategies to achieve client goals Develop and oversee media plans across paid social, search, display, video, CTV, and mobile campaigns.
Contribute to client audits and strategic recommendations related to GEO, SEO, evolving search behaviors, and AI powered search.
Ensure client budgets and media spend are smartly and attentively managed.
Develop testing strategies and recommendations encompassing creative, messaging, media channels, landing pages, offers, and audiences.
Identity opportunities to improve fundraising performance, donor acquisition, ROI, ROAS, cost efficiency, and long‑term program growth.
Partner with internal teams to develop quarterly business reviews, performance analyses, and strategic recommendations.
Research and recommend new digital marketing channels, technologies, targeting, and other testing channels.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital media buying, and digital strategy with significant hands‑on experience managing multi‑channel paid media campaigns.
4+ years of experience independently managing client relationships and leading strategic client conversations.
Minimum of 4 years leading direct response‑based digital efforts
Familiarity with SEO, AI‑powered search and emerging digital marketing trends is preferred.
Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities, multiple client relationships and complex projects simultaneously.
A proactive mindset with the willingness to identify growth opportunities, raise issues, and make recommendations independently.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, paired with the demonstrated ability to organize your work and continuously manage competing priorities.
Strong competency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
