1st Shift Digital Press Operator / Lead Operator – Commercial Printing$28–$40+ per hour | Overtime | Excellent Benefits | Paid Training | Relocation AssistanceA growing commercial printing company is expanding its operations in the area and adding experienced Digital Press Operators, Lead Operators, and Supervisor-level talent to its 1st shift team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Digital Press Operator—or someone with strong commercial printing experience ready to move into digital—to join a progressive, technology-driven company investing heavily in modern equipment, automation, employee training, and continued growth.Why Consider This Opportunity?$28–$40+ per hour, depending on experienceOvertime opportunities1st shiftOutstanding company benefitsPaid technical and equipment trainingRegular performance and compensation reviewsAdvancement opportunities for strong performersOpportunities to move into Lead and Supervisor positionsRelocation assistance available for qualified candidatesModern, highly automated digital printing technologyStable company with low employee turnoverStrong team-oriented cultureCompany trains, develops, and promotes from withinThe PositionReporting to the Production Manager, the Digital Press Operator will set up and operate high-speed production digital printing equipment in a busy commercial printing environment.The plant produces a wide variety of commercial print products, including brochures, booklets, direct mail, marketing materials, personalized/variable-data work, short-run publications, and other high-quality printed products.Responsibilities include:Setting up and operating production digital printing equipmentReviewing job specifications and preparing jobs for productionLoading paper and other substratesCompleting press setups, changeovers, and calibrationsMonitoring color, registration, image quality, and consistencyMaking adjustments throughout production to maintain qualityPerforming routine color and quality checksManaging multiple jobs in a fast-paced production environmentTroubleshooting print quality and basic equipment issuesMinimizing waste and downtimePerforming routine operator maintenance and preventative maintenanceMaintaining accurate production and quality recordsMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWorking closely with Prepress, Bindery, Mailing, Quality, and Production teamsExperience We're Looking ForCandidates should have 1–2+ years of production digital printing experience, preferably within a commercial printing, direct mail, transactional, or high-volume print environment.Experience with equipment such as HP Indigo | Canon imagePRESS | Canon varioPRINT | Ricoh Pro | Xerox Iridesse | Xerox iGen | Konica Minolta AccurioPress | Kodak NEXFINITY | Similar Production Digital PressesExperience with high-volume production equipment is especially attractive, but you do not need experience on the company's exact press.If you understand commercial printing, color, registration, substrates, variable-data work, digital workflows, quality control, and basic press troubleshooting, the company is willing to train you on its specific technology and processes.Ready to Move Up?Assistant Operators and experienced commercial print professionals looking to move into production digital printing are encouraged to apply.If you have strong print fundamentals and want to learn newer digital technology, this company offers the paid training and advancement opportunities to help you make that move.The company is also interested in experienced Lead Digital Press Operators, Digital Print Leads, and Production Supervisors who may be ready for their next opportunity.The company is expanding, and that growth is creating opportunities for people who want more than another press operator job.
