Job description
Digital Print OperatorPrisma is seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting our digital press equipment while producing high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial print production environment.Essential ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain Xerox and Ricoh digital press equipmentRead and interpret job tickets to determine setup specifications and production requirementsSet up print jobs using proper setup techniquesInspect equipment before and after each production runMonitor product quality, including print accuracy, size, warp, and overall appearanceMaximize machine productivity while maintaining quality standardsPerform routine preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairsReport equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders as neededMaintain accurate production records and documentationKeep the work area clean, organized, and safeRemove and replace damaged materials using hand tools when necessaryPerform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and troubleshootingSupport other departments as needed to maximize production efficiencyUtilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product qualityPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining digital printing equipment or equivalent manufacturing experiencePreferred SkillsKnowledge of digital printing equipment and processesExperience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is preferredStrong attention to detail and color accuracyMechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experienceBasic computer skills for entering production dataStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic math skillsExperience using measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, and micrometersAbility to identify common packaging and print defectsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skillsWillingness to work overtime when neededPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and close visual inspection throughout the shiftFrequent use of hands for handling equipment and materialsOccasional bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pullingAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyPrisma is a full-service commercial printing company offering offset, digital, and wide format printing.
