Job description
Digital Print Production OperatorAs a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. Your duties also involve bindery which may include cutting, folding and stuffing envelopes. You will manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed. This includes printing on both large format and small format. Large format consists of posters, vehicle wraps, wall murals, etc. and small format has books, business cards and product brochures.This is an excellent position for someone interested in entering the industry and building a lasting career.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive compensationCareer path development8-hour shift - Monday to FridayDigital Print Production Operator Responsibilities:Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery & Onyx Command Workstation.Responsible for imposing / nesting files for printWorks with Center Manager and other Production members to prioritize and manage daily job productionProduces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standardsUpdates job status and location in MIS systemAlways runs a proof copy and compares it to the work orderControls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being producedCompletes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobsMaintains a clean and organized work environmentPerforms all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.Other duties as assignedDigital Print Production Operator Qualifications:Digital printing experience preferredAbility to organize several activities and tasks concurrently.Can perform basic bindery functionsGraphic design skills are a plus but not necessaryCustomer service experience is a plus but not necessaryInterested?
