Job description
American Management Association (AMA), a world leader in talent development, is seeking a Director, Digital Platforms & Marketing Automation to lead and advance AMAs digital marketing ecosystem.
This hands-on digital marketing leader will execute and improve our website, marketing automation, and digital customer experience. This role will turn strategy into automated customer journeys, website enhancements, and measurable improvements in engagement and conversion.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with enterprise marketing automation platforms and is comfortable working across website management, customer journeys, analytics, testing, and external agency partners.
Job Responsibilities
Build and optimize automated customer journeys including lead nurture, abandoned cart, cross-sell, renewal, reactivation, and post-purchase programs.
Improve email segmentation, personalization, testing, deliverability, and conversion.
Manage the ongoing enhancement of AMAs website and digital customer experience, including navigation, search, forms, landing pages, registration, and checkout.
Translate business needs into clear requirements for AMAs website development agency and manage projects through completion.
Use GA4, behavioral analytics, CRM data, and testing to identify opportunities and improve performance.
Identify practical uses of AI and emerging marketing technologies that improve productivity, personalization, analytics, or customer experience.
Work across Marketing, Sales, Product, IT, and external partners to implement digital initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing, or a related field required
7+ years of experience in digital marketing, marketing automation, website management, e-commerce, or related digital roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform such as Marketo, Eloqua, Adobe Campaign, Braze, or similar tools.
Experience building automated customer journeys, workflows, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing programs.
Experience managing or supporting a complex customer-facing website and working with web development agencies or technical partners.
Strong understanding of digital analytics, testing, conversion optimization, CRM data, and customer journeys.
Ability to move between hands-on execution, analysis, project management, and agency coordination.
Preferred Experience
Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder and Automation Studio; Salesforce CRM; GA4 and behavioral analytics.
Experience with e-commerce or online registration; working knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, APIs, or similar technologies.
Experience with AI-enabled marketing, analytics, or personalization tools.
Travel in accordance with business needs.
