Faithful Home Care SolutionsFaithful Home Care Solutions is seeking experienced, reliable, and compassionate caregivers to provide care for a client in the Norristown area, with additional 24-hour care anticipated in Glenside beginning in November.Position OverviewThe Direct Care Worker is responsible for providing comprehensive, non-medical personal care and supportive services to a client in their home. The caregiver will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, personal care, safety, and companionship according to the individualized care plan.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence careSupport activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, feeding assistance, positioning, and transfersAssist with mobility and safe transfers using appropriate equipment, including a Hoyer liftProvide appropriate support to a client with Parkinson's diseaseAssist with positioning and mobility for a client with limited mobility or who may be bed-boundFollow proper safety and fall-prevention techniquesProvide companionship and emotional supportEncourage and support client independence according to the care planMaintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environmentFollow standard precautions and infection control proceduresMaintain strict client confidentialityCommunicate effectively with family members and the care teamFollow agency policies, professional standards, and applicable regulationsShift RequirementsCurrent Schedule – Norristown10:00 AM – 4:00 PMCurrent need is for daytime coverageUpcoming Schedule – Glenside24-hour care anticipated beginning in NovemberAdditional scheduling details will be determined following the client assessment and development of the care planQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or GED preferredAbility to read, write, and communicate effectivelyExperienceExperience caring for clients with Parkinson's disease preferredHoyer lift experience requiredExperience assisting clients with limited mobility or who are bed-bound requiredExperience with transfers and positioningExperience providing personal care and assistance with ADLsExperience providing incontinence care, including changing adult diapersExperience with fall prevention and safe mobility techniquesAbility to provide compassionate, patient, and attentive careLicensure & Other RequirementsValid driver's licenseReliable and insured transportationSatisfactory background checkProfessional referencesBenefitsCompetitive payPaid overtimeMedical and dental insurance for eligible full-time employeesOngoing training and professional developmentSupportive office teamEmployee and client referral bonusesAbout Faithful Home Care SolutionsFaithful Home Care Solutions is a licensed, Medicaid-certified, non-medical home care agency based in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
