Direct Support Professional (Community Supports)Two weekday daytime shifts in Albia, about 13 hours a week. It is a good fit if you want a small, steady commitment alongside school, family, or another job. You'll provide hourly one-on-one support to adults with disabilities in the Albia community. Ask us about adding shifts at nearby programs and homes.Shifts availableTuesday: 10 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.Friday: 10 a.m. to 6:10 p.m.What you'll doProvide hourly supports such as meals, errands, skill building, and community outingsAssist with personal care when neededKeep clear, accurate notes for each visitWhat you'll bringDependability and a patient, respectful approachValid driver's license and reliable transportationThe ability to pass background checksPay: $13 to $16 per hour.Full-time benefits: health, dental, vision, Aflac, paid time off, sick time, holidays, retirement account, paid training.Part-time benefits: Aflac and retirement account.Paid training provided: Mandatory reporter, TBI, CPR, CPI-NCI, and more.First Resources Corp. is a private, non-profit agency providing a variety of services throughout Southeast Iowa. Employment depends on passing background checks.Qualifications/Requirements:High school education or equivalent; experience working with people with disabilities preferred.Must possess basic knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.Successfully complete all new hire orientation checklist.Satisfactory attend all required trainings by agency.Successfully complete the established medication administration training and observe pass medications accordingly.Must have access to a telephone.Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company's insurance.
