In this role, you'll work alongside people with developmental disabilities as they build skills, explore their community, prepare for employment, develop greater independence, and work toward goals that are important to them.No two days have to look the same. You may spend your day teaching a new life skill, helping someone explore a potential job, participating in recreational activities, getting out into the community, or celebrating progress toward a personal goal.What You'll DoTeach and support social, employment-readiness, self-advocacy, recreation, and daily living skillsEncourage independence, choice, confidence, and personal growthHelp people explore employment and community opportunitiesPlan and participate in meaningful activities based on individual interests and abilitiesProvide transportation to activities and community opportunitiesDocument progress and help individuals work toward their personal goalsCreate an environment where people are treated with dignity and respectWhat We're Looking For A dependable, flexible, and positive person who enjoys working with people and wants a career with purpose.
