Direct Support Professional (DSP) In Adult Day ProgramPALS Goleta is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in our Adult Day Program.In this role, you will provide person-centered support to adults with intellectual, developmental, behavioral, and/or trauma-related disabilities, helping them build independence, confidence, and everyday skills. Through community-based activities and meaningful experiences, you will encourage personal growth, social connection, and overall well-being. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, team-oriented, and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.What You'll DoWork directly with one or more program participants (up to three at a time)Transport participants to and from the program and community activities using a personal vehicle or PALS vehicle.Assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, communication, and social interactionEncourage independence by allowing participants to complete tasks on their own whenever possibleFacilitate community-based activities and recreational opportunitiesUtilize person-centered approachesSubmit required documentation in a timely mannerParticipate in monthly staff meetings and required trainingQualificationsHigh School DiplomaMinimum one year of work experienceExperience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not requiredStrong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsPatient, compassionate, and committed to person-centered careAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRequirementsReliable transportation and clean driving recordValid California Driver's License and current auto insuranceMust pass a background check, TB clearance, drug screening, and physical examinationAbility to lift, move, and assist individuals as needed.Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Patience, empathy, and a commitment to person-centered care.BenefitsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceMileage Reimbursement/StipendPaid Time Off (PTO) & Sick LeaveHoliday PayTuition Reimbursement401(k) Profit Sharing PlanOpportunities for advancement in incentive and career growthScheduleMonday through Friday7:30AM – 2:30PMServices in Day Program and Community Settings
