Direct Support Professional (DSP)Are you an outgoing, cheerful person passionate about making a difference in others' lives? We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our dynamic team! As a DSP, you will support and encourage individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.ResponsibilitiesEncouraging Social Interaction - Plan and participate in social and recreational activities that promote engagement and interaction, ensuring clients have fun and feel included.Empower Independence: Work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve personal goals, offering guidance and encouragement along the wayBuild Relationships: Develop trusting relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, preferences, and personalities.Provide Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments, community events, and social gatherings, ensuring they have opportunities to explore and engage with their community.Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate records of client progress, incidents, and services provided, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.Support Daily Living Skills: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.Money ManagementNote: This client has a small, friendly service dog.QualificationsPrevious experience as a DSP, DCW, CNA, and Home Health AideHigh school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.Ability to connect with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds.Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Compensation: $19.00 per hourWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.We are passionate about helping seniors continue to experience the richness of life.
