Direct Support ProfessionalLooking for a healthcare career where relationships come first? We're hiring STNAs, CNAs, Medical Assistants, Home Health Aides, experienced DSPs, and caregivers to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities while helping them live meaningful, fulfilling lives.Preferred experience includes:Direct care experienceSTNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) / CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) backgroundRespiratory or medical support experienceResponsibilities:Participating in community outings and activities, including concerts, movies, swimming, shopping, and other recreational eventsBuilding positive relationships with individuals and their familiesSupporting daily routines and meaningful life experiencesAssisting with dressing and groomingMeal preparation and feeding assistanceProviding toileting and personal hygiene supportAssisting with bathing and showeringAdministering medications as trained and authorizedProviding companionship, encouragement, and emotional supportAssisting with repositioning and mobility needsMaintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, changing linens, kitchen upkeep, and general housekeepingCompleting documentation and other assigned duties as neededRequirements:Prior direct care, caregiving, and DSP experience preferred, but not requiredHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License with a good driving recordProof of auto insuranceMust be at least 18 years of ageAbility to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical examination, and physical therapy assessmentAbility to lift up to 50 poundsBenefits:Comprehensive health package (medical/dental/vision/life/disability)$3 Weekend Shift differential pay401(k) with company matchPaid TrainingPaid Vacation & Personal DaysInterest Free Tuition and Small Dollar LoansTransportation AssistanceEmployee Assistance ProgramTraining & Advancement through Sunshine UAbout Sunshine:Sunshine Communities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northwest Ohio supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, clinical, therapeutic, and recreational services.
