Direct Support Professional (DSP)**$500 Sign-On Bonus**The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking to hire a part time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We also offer top compensation and benefits.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. You assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more. While supporting people with disabilities, you build strong relationships while learning their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes. This helps you to provide the best care. In this position, you find the work of supporting people with disabilities to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires extremely rewarding!QUALIFICATIONSAt least 18 years of ageValid driver's license and access to a vehicle during working hoursAre you punctual and reliable? Can you keep track of multiple tasks and prioritize effectively? Do you have good interpersonal and communication skills? Are you flexible and patient? Are you respectful, discreet with confidential information, and honest? Do you enjoy helping people?
