Direct Support Professional - Residential, SSGH - Per DiemFor over 65 years, UCS has been providing exceptional and thoughtful care to individuals and families in our community through programs, services, and educational opportunities. Our staff includes positions such as administration, clinicians, nurses, teachers, case managers, psychiatrists, and direct support providers who work within our 15 facilities to support over 3,000 individuals annually. Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Residential implements Residential Treatment Plans, participate in the day to day activities with the residents, and support the operation of the group home.This role is On call/As needed (Per Diem)MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:DIRECT SERVICEParticipates in daily skill building with residents relative to personal care, independent living, and community involvement. Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Uses a manner of speaking consistent with adult interactions that convey respect and encourage independence.PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION AND DEVELOPMENTParticipates as a member of interdisciplinary team. Assists with treatment plan development, attends staff meetings as directed by supervisor. Provides case management as assigned. Serves as advocate for the residents.RECORDKEEPINGMaintains all documentation required by policy and procedure. Submits documentation for payroll, client records, incident reports, and other daily functions in an accurate and timely fashion. Maintains medical administration certification. Documents in protocols in an accurate and timely fashion.HOUSEKEEPINGPerforms housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned. Promptly reports problems with facility, furnishings, vehicle, or grounds to supervisor.* In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related human services field preferred.LICENSE REQUIRED:Valid driver's licenseCOMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:Typing and navigating Email usage
