Job description
Direct Support ProfessionalJourney Services LLC is looking for a caring and dedicated provider to become a part of our growing team! Our direct support professionals work with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities and the elderly in their homes and out in the community. Hours are part-time and mainly afternoons, evenings and weekends. This is a great job for individuals re-entering the workforce, looking for supplemental income or college students studying nursing, psychology, social work, special education or early childhood education!ResponsibilitiesEncourage independence and self-advocacy.Assist the individual with personal goals such as practicing communication and social skills or increasing their daily living skills (i.e. personal hygiene, cooking skills, etc.)Provide a positive and safe environment for the individual where they are able to have fun and learn.Engage in fun games and activities, in the home or out in the community.Transport individuals to community outings and eventsQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageObtain a Class-1 Fingerprint Clearance CardObtain certification in CPR, First Aid and Article 9Reliable Transportation with proof of Arizona Driver's License, Current Vehicle Registration & InsuranceAbility to transport members in own vehicle as neededBenefits/Supplemental Pay:3-month longevity stipend of $1006-month longevity stipend of $100PTO/Sick time after 90 daysMileage reimbursementReferral programFlexible schedulePaid time offPaid training and professional developmentMust clear all background checks
