Direct Support ProfessionalWe have an exciting opening available for a Direct Support Professional. A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care service to individuals who are developmentally and/or physically challenged. The work involves providing specialized care and training in all identified areas.Implements goals and procedural objectivesImplements and documents all aspects of the individuals’ needs including personal hygieneProvides a safe, healthy, clean environment and provides supervision to the individualsFunctions at all times as an advocatePerforms dietary duties, i.e. food preparation and clean upPerforms laundry duties, i.e. personal clothing and linensPerforms housekeeping/cleaning dutiesMay be assigned to various work areas, which may include site addresses that differ from the originally scheduled site.We offer the following benefits:Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceReferral programTuition reimbursement401k PlanFlexible SchedulesLife insuranceDisability insuranceIdentity theft insuranceCompensation $19/hourA High school diploma or GED is required as is at least six month’s experience as a direct support staff in a group home setting.Physical Requirements:Sitting, standing, and walkingLift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds independentlyBend and stretch as neededSee, hear, speak, write, push, pull, climb, twist, reach, and possess manual dexterityCredentials:Current CPR and First Aid (for some locations and programs)Abuse Clearances (may include child abuse clearances)Criminal History ClearanceFBI FingerprintsTB Screening and baseline testing (PPD or blood test), some programsCertification of Completion: Direct Care Staff Training Course and Competency for some programs.Representative Duties and Responsibilities:Complies with ATC policies and procedures.Complies with client policies and procedures.Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with client policies and procedures.Follows the patient’s treatment plan as assigned.Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.Performs other duties as assigned.Equal Opportunity Employer: ATC Healthcare Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
