Job description
The Department of Psychiatry at South Oaks Hospital is seeking a Director for its Adult Inpatient unit to provide clinical leadership and direct care for our busy unit at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, NY. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory, and interpersonal skills who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. Ideal candidates also possess a skillset appropriate for the management of acute psychiatric patients with attention to service excellence.
Candidate must be BC/BE in Psychiatry, with ACGME approved residency training, and eligible for a NYS medical license. Prior leadership experience preferred but total candidate experience will be considered when reviewing applications. Excellent communication skills required.
