Description: Charles Schwab is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Banking, Retirement and Trust Legal Group. The role involves providing legal advice and counsel regarding the regulatory aspects of bank lending initiatives, including Structured Asset Lines of Credit (SAL), Pledged Asset Lines of Credit (PAL), mortgage products, and unsecured lending. The Counsel will support transactions from origination through the life of the loan, collaborate with senior bankers, and manage risks associated with consumer and commercial lending.
Eligibility: Candidates must possess a J.D. or LL.M. from an accredited law school and be a member of a state bar in good standing (TX, AZ, NY, NV, CA, IL preferred). At least 5 years of transactional legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on bank lending is required.
