Job description

Director of the School of Lifelong Learning

The College of Education and Human Development at Jackson State University invites applications for the position of Director of the School of Lifelong Learning. The Director will provide visionary leadership and administrative oversight of the Professional Interdisciplinary Studies academic degree program (traditional and online), while also advancing learning across the lifespan through innovative credit hearing programs, enhanced continuing education, workforce development, professional learning, and community engagement. This includes but is not limited to coordination of course offerings, faculty assignments, student support initiatives, assessment activities, and collaboration with university academic departments and administrative offices both internal and external to JSU. Given the scope of the director's position, the College of Education seeks a director with a documented record of successful management and supervision of teams through effective communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, strategic problem-solving, and interpersonal leadership skills that foster a positive and productive organizational culture.
