Job description
For our client, we are seeking a Director, Compensation - Equity Compensation to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will shape and oversee enterprise equity compensation programs that support long-term business goals and align with shareholder interests.
You will partner closely with compensation, finance, and senior leadership teams to design, administer, and communicate equity and executive compensation programs.
The position also plays a key role in acquisitions, governance, reporting, and process improvement through analytics and automation.
Location: McLean, VA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $230,400 – $263,000 annually
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver global equity compensation programs aligned with shareholder interests
Guide the equity team in administering long-term incentive and executive compensation plans
Partner on equity program design elements with Corporate Compensation
Provide data-driven analyses and insights for senior leaders
Lead equity compensation in acquisitions, including due diligence and communications
Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements
Oversee stock plan data for financial filings and proxy reporting
Monitor legislative changes affecting equity compensation
Enhance compensation processes using automation and analytics
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
7 years of experience in equity design, executive compensation, or finance
5 years of people management experience
5 years leading cross-functional initiatives in a Fortune 100 company preferred
Experience with Workday and client-facing roles preferred
Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification or Master’s degree in a related field preferred
Proficiency in AI and technology tools for problem-solving preferred
