Atrium is working on a unique Facilities & Workplace Operations leadership opportunity with a well-established New York-based organization.
This is not a "keep the lights on" facilities role.
We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving, highly dynamic environments and genuinely enjoys solving problems that don't come with a playbook. One day you may be managing a construction project, negotiating with building management and vendors, overseeing office moves, or helping design a new workplace. The next, you may be troubleshooting an operational issue, coordinating emergency repairs, or rolling up your sleeves to solve a problem that nobody else owns.
The person who succeeds here will be highly resourceful, hands-on, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. This role requires someone who can move effortlessly between strategy and execution, senior leadership meetings and mechanical rooms, long-term planning and same-day operational challenges.
Responsibilities
Lead all facilities and workplace operations for a corporate headquarters environment
Manage office services, reception, mailroom, workplace support, maintenance, and vendor relationships
Oversee renovations, office expansions, relocations, and workplace improvement initiatives
Partner with architects, contractors, engineers, building management, and service providers
Drive workplace experience initiatives and ensure a professional, client-ready office environment
Manage facilities budgets, contracts, procurement, and cost controls
Lead and develop a workplace operations team
Support safety, security, emergency preparedness, and business continuity efforts
Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex operational and facilities challenges
What We're Looking For
10+ years of facilities, workplace operations, office services, property operations, or related experience
Experience leading facilities projects, renovations, office moves, and vendor management initiatives
Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to drive accountability and execution
Comfortable operating in environments where priorities shift and new challenges emerge regularly
Someone who enjoys building structure, creating processes, and improving operations
Executive presence with the ability to work closely with senior leadership
PMP, facilities certifications, construction management exposure, or related experience are all valued
Why Consider It?
High visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership
Opportunity to build structure and elevate the entire workplace operations function
Broad ownership across facilities, construction projects, vendors, workplace experience, security, and office operations
Stable organization with strong employee tenure
Excellent benefits package
Early Friday close year-round

If you're the type of leader who sees a problem, owns it, and figures it out rather than waiting for someone else to handle it, I'd love to connect.
