Job description
A rapidly growing, private equity-backed global industrial platform is seeking a Director, Global Tax to join its corporate finance leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role at a company preparing for its next stage of transformation, including significant growth initiatives and public-company readiness efforts.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Direct exposure to the CFO and executive leadership team
Opportunity to influence tax strategy across a global industrial organization
Significant visibility related to public-company preparedness and future capital markets activity
Exposure to acquisitions, integration work, international operations, and tax optimization initiatives
Ability to build processes and make a tangible impact rather than inherit a fully established infrastructure
Broader business exposure than traditional tax roles, with involvement in strategic finance discussions and cross-functional initiatives
Strong long-term growth potential as the organization continues to expand globally
Key Responsibilities
Lead U.S. federal income tax matters
Manage global tax provision and effective tax rate processes
Prepare and review tax memoranda supporting quarterly reviews and annual audits
Partner with external auditors and advisors
Advise business leaders on income tax implications of strategic decisions
Support M&A activity, integrations, and international tax considerations
Drive process improvement and strengthen tax controls in support of a growing global organization
Serve as the primary tax resource across multiple operating businesses
Ideal Background
You may be an exceptional candidate coming directly from public accounting or someone who has combined public accounting experience with a corporate tax role.
Preferred qualifications include:
Approximately 7-12 years of progressive tax experience
Big Four or nationally recognized public accounting firm experience
Achieved Manager level or above in public accounting
Deep expertise in U.S. federal taxation, income tax provision, ETR analysis, and tax memorandum preparation
Experience supporting audits and financial reporting requirements
International tax exposure is a plus
Ability to operate independently while influencing stakeholders across a complex organization
Strong communication, executive presence, and business acumen
Who Should Consider This Role?
This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional who wants:
More visibility and influence than a traditional tax department provides
Direct interaction with executive leadership
Exposure to IPO readiness and transformational growth initiatives
A chance to build, improve, and shape an evolving tax function
A platform that combines the stability of an industrial business with the pace and upside of a sponsor-backed growth company
Compensation
Competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity opportunity. While the anticipated base salary is generally expected to fall within the low-to-mid $200K range, exceptional candidates may be considered above this level based on experience and qualifications.
All inquiries will be handled with the strictest confidentiality
