Job description
Our client, a leading hospitality company with global reach, is looking for a Director of Accounting to manage their team as they continue to grow. This role oversees operational accounting functions for the company including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, global banking, accounting system administration, supervision of staff and security to ensure timely month end close and accurate reporting for the company. This position has frequent contact with associates at all levels throughout the organization and also works closely with executive team members on various projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee the activities of the general accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data.
Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his/her financial needs.
Oversee administration of global bank accounts and corporate credit card program.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
Lead and manage accounting, global banking, reporting, disbursements and payroll staff, and function as back-up to these roles.
Work with our tax partners to assure corporate income tax compliance.
Supervise all financial reporting and audit functions.
Provide timely monthly financial statement package to Executive Management.
Manage the annual external audit, including audit for China entity.
Prepare the annual financial report and related disclosures.
401K benefit administration, audit, financial statement and filing.
Corporate shareholder information, dividends and related tax reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
10+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
CPA is required.
Experience in hospitality industry would be a nice plus.
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains 2018 or Business Central experience, a plus.
