Director of Admissions – Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Winter Park, FL

A well-established Skilled Nursing Facility near Winter Park, Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to lead census development, referral management, and admissions operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of building strong partnerships with hospitals, case managers, and community referral sources.
Responsibilities
Oversee all admissions processes and ensure smooth patient transitions into the facility
Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and community partners
Drive census growth through strategic business development initiatives
Evaluate referrals and coordinate with clinical teams to determine admission appropriateness
Collaborate with leadership to achieve occupancy goals
Monitor market trends and identify new referral opportunities
Coordinate tours for prospective residents and families
Ensure compliance with all facility policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate admission and referral documentation
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Director of Admissions, Admissions Coordinator, Liaison, or Business Development professional in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Center, or Long-Term Care setting
Strong knowledge of SNF admissions processes and referral management
Established relationships within the Melbourne and surrounding healthcare market preferred
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proven track record of increasing census and developing referral partnerships
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
