Job description
This is a newly created role at DV Brown. This position is designed to build a proactive growth engine by identifying major projects and relationships before they hit the market, and positioning DV Brown to compete for them early. We are looking for a true connector - someone with an established network among the people who drive large-scale construction and development decisions in Western New York (and potentially beyond), who can open doors and create opportunities for the DV Brown team to bring in expert technical solutions.
DV Brown & Associates is a leading mechanical contracting firm serving Western New York for over 30 years, specializing in design-build, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, prefabrication, process piping, and architectural specialties. With a track record on landmark regional projects including Ralph Wilson Stadium, Harborcenter at Canalside, and Phoenix Brewery, DV Brown has built a reputation for technical excellence and reliability across commercial, institutional, and industrial markets. As the company looks to expand beyond its current scale, it is investing in a new, senior-level business development function to open doors to new opportunities.
What You'll Do
Build and expand high-level relationships with general contractors, developers, property owners, and facility decision-makers
Identify emerging projects and opportunities early (new developments, renovations, capital investments) and position DV Brown to compete
Represent DV Brown at industry, civic, and social settings to build visibility and trust with key players
Sit on the leadership team and participate across sales and operations functions to understand DV Brown’s capabilities, customers, and how the business operates
Partner closely with estimating/design sales and service sales teams, bringing in opportunities for them to pursue and close
Help shape a long-term (5-10 year) growth strategy for market expansion, including potential geographic growth through partnerships or acquisitions
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - 150,000 plus a structure commission plan.
Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For
A high-energy, entrepreneurial relationship-builder motivated by growth and earning potential
A track record of genuine, long-term relationship building, not only transactional networking
Established, credible relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, and/or facility decision-makers in the region
Comfort operating at a senior/executive level, including client engagement and high-level social settings
Construction or mechanical industry background is a plus but not required - strong candidates may come from commercial real estate, facilities/property management, or other B2B relationship-driven fields
Enough business acumen to understand and credibly represent DV Brown’s differentiators (design-build capability, fabrication shop, prefabrication/3D capabilities)
