Job description

Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) - Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) to join our skilled nursing facility leadership team in Milwaukee.

The Director of Clinical Operations is a key clinical leadership partner to the Director of Nursing (DON) and facility leadership. This position provides hands-on clinical oversight, mentorship, quality improvement, regulatory support, and operational guidance to help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality resident care.

Think of this role as a regional nurse consultant dedicated to one building . Rather than traveling between multiple facilities, you will have the opportunity to work closely with one team, know the residents and staff, and make a meaningful impact on clinical outcomes and facility performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader who is ready for the next step in their career, including someone interested in eventually pursuing a Regional Clinical Operations, Regional Nurse Consultant, or multi-site clinical leadership role .

What You'll Do

Partner closely with the DON and facility leadership to oversee clinical operations and resident care.

Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing leadership and staff.

Support the DON with day-to-day clinical operations, priorities, and accountability.

Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and key nursing metrics.

Identify opportunities for improvement and develop and implement effective action plans.

Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness, including preparation for state and federal surveys.

Assist with plans of correction and follow-up on identified deficiencies.

Provide guidance related to nursing standards of practice, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
